I've been selected for another solo show of bird photography at the Mission Trails Park gallery! Save the dates: November 10-30, 2012.
August-September: Ten bird photographs are now hanging at the San Diego Audubon Society gallery, at 4010 Morena Blvd, San Diego. Hours M-F 10-3. A percentage of sales will be donated to the San Diego Audubon Society.
April: I am posting photos from a recent trip to Baja California on my blog, photoabcs.com. Photos include birds, whales (up close and personal!), and people.
April: I have two large bird photographs on display at the St. Clair Gallery+Smart Space, located at 4455 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego. There will be a reception on Tuesday, May 3, from 6-8 p.m.
February: I have four abstract flower photographs now hanging at the North County Oncology Clinic in Oceanside. This group show features exceptional photography from many of San Diego's top fine-art photographers. A reception will be announced soon, but you may visit the office at 3617 Vista Way, Oceanside.
February: I'm back from eight days photographing in the Yucatan. I'm posting photos daily on my blog, www.photoabcs.com
November: Two of my bird photographs were chosen for this year's Best of Nature photography exhibit at the
San Diego Natural History Museum. Through January.
March 24: I will present a talk, The Fine Art of Action Photography, at the North County Photographic Society. San Diego Botanic Garden, Encinitas (formerly Quail Gardens), 6:30 p.m.
March 4-6: I will display my bird photography at the 2010 San Diego Bird Festival, sponsored by the San Diego Audubon Society. The festival will take place at the Marina Village Conference Center at Mission Bay.
September: I will be giving a talk: Making a Book With Blurb (Introduction to Self-Publishing), at the annual Sierra Club Photo Section's Laguna Lodge Weekend. There will be lots of excellent speakers, including Donna Cosentino, Steve Cirone, Ken Rockwell, Stephen Burns, and others.
September: This month's Color Magazine has a six page portfolio of my abstract bullfight photographs. Check it out at your bookstore!
September: My photo of Rafael Nadal is now hanging at the La Jolla Library in a juried group show for the Allied Artists Association of San Diego. The show will hang through the month of September.
August: Please come to my one-person show at the Mission Trails Park Visitor Center Gallery! It features 38 of my favorite bird photographs. The opening reception will be Sunday, August 9, from 1-4 p.m. It will remain for the following four weeks.
May: I now have three photos hanging at a juried group show in Bonita, and 14 abstract flower pictures hanging at the San Diego Cancer Center in Encinitas.

February: Taking a short break from gallery shows. Still shooting LOTS of birds for my August show. Spending five days shooting the Tour of California bike race this month and four days shooting men's and women's tennis at Indian Wells next month.

November 20: I will give my Route 66 slide show for the Friends of Lake Murray, in La Mesa at 5 p.m. Email me for directions if you wish to come.
November 9: Join me at the San Diego Hospice, from 2-4 p.m. for a wine, cheese, and art reception. Ten of my abstract flower photos will be on display (all new!), along with art from a dozen other fine San Diego artists. The San Diego Hospice is located at 4311 Third Avenue, San Diego. (Hillcrest area)
July: Good news! 35 of my bird photographs will be displayed at the Mission Trails Park Visitor Center during August 2009, in a solo exhibition. The Visitor Center has a very nice gallery and I am looking forward to the show.
July: One of my bird photographs, Cardinal in Snow, won an honorable mention in the 2nd Annual Alley Cat Juried Art Show at Sophie's Gallery, in El Cajon, California. I was one of three artists who had all five entries accepted into the juried show.
May: One of my bullfight photographs, Death in the Afternoon, won an honorable mention at the Allied Artists Association of San Diego Annual Members Show at the Riford Library in La Jolla, California.
